What makes Low-Carb Chicken Fajitas healthy?

For this low-carb Chicken Fajitas recipe, we will be using Chicken thighs, onions, bell peppers and a few spices. You may not be aware but onions are amazingly healthy as they are loaded with Chromium that help in Blood Pressure issues, Biotin for hair, Vitamin C, Sulphur that is incredibly helpful in liver detoxification of toxins, Vitamin B1 for stress and many more. Bell Peppers are an amazing source of Vitamin C. One whole bell pepper has about 90 mg of Vitamin C which is the Recommended Daily Allowance. We also use chicken thighs which are the most flavorful and juicy part of the chicken, packed with protein.

 

Ingredients to make Low-Carb Chicken Fajitas

4 Chicken Thighs

1 Large Onion, thinly sliced

2 Bell Peppers, thinly sliced

1 tbsp Cumin Powder

1 tbsp Paprika Powder

1 tsp Garlic Powder 

1 tsp Black Pepper, ground

Lemon 

Salt (to taste)

Oil (to sauté)

How to make Low-Carb Chicken Fajitas

Step 1 : Wash and clean the chicken thighs and cut to obtain thin, long slices.

Step 2 : Marinade with the above spices and put it aside.

Step 3 : Thinly slice the bell peppers and onions.

Step 4 : In a cast iron skillet or a large pan, add some oil and put marinated chicken in it. 

Step 5 : When the chicken is almost done, add the sliced onions and let it soften on medium heat.

Step 6 : Turn up the heat to high and let the vegetables and the chicken char a little. 

Step 7 :  Once everything is nicely cooked, squeeze a little lemon and serve it up!
